Topics include Old Kingdom Egypt, focusing on political and cultural developments such as pyramid building and the central role of pharaohs; and Rome: The Late Republic, which covers social conflicts, the rise of influential leaders, and the events that led to the end of the Roman Republic.
Unit 4: Confrontation and Resolution Explores internal and external conflicts within ancient societies. Topics include The Amarna Revolution, Egypt, examining Akhenaten’s religious reforms and the subsequent return to traditional beliefs; and Rome: Transition to Empire, highlighting the power struggles and key figures that shaped the Roman Empire and its political landscape.
